Kilgore Carpets & Interiors opened its doors in 1978. A few years later, when its original owner was ready to retire, Lloyd Hill (who was managing the lumber yard next door) was extended an offer to purchase the business. Lloyd and his wife Sherron bought the business and moved it to downtown Kilgore and its current location.
The Hills have called Kilgore home for many years. Their two children grew up as Kilgore Bulldogs, and have since made “Honey & Papa” proud grandparents, several times over.
In August of 2020, Lloyd and Sherron announced their well-deserved retirement and Mike Hill (who grew up in the business) and his wife Ragan took over as owner/operators.
Kilgore Carpets has had the pleasure of serving the people of Kilgore and it’s surrounding area for over four decades and has made countless friends along the way – many of whom have returned to redecorate as their tastes changed or when a new home was purchased.
We very much appreciate our customers’ loyalty over the years, and look forward to serving the people of East Texas for many years to come.
